NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Patuxent River, MD. – The Navy’s wind blast facility tested and passed ICI’s tablet/iPad holster regarding its durability during simulated ejection wind blast patterns on 28 July 2026.
The tablet/iPad holster design allows for use during flight without posing a safety risk to the pilot. The strap securely fastens around the leg while the device is protected by the exterior aluminum case. The case facilitates easy transfer between Android tablets or Apple iPads during flight.
During testing, the product was strapped to the leg of a dummy pilot and exposed to regulated high-volume air streams reaching above 600 MPH to simulate a realistic ejection scenario. The ultimate goal of testing was to ensure that the strap would remain secure and keep the device in place under harsh conditions.
