The Mentor-Protégé Program

Mentor-Protégé Program

The DoD Mentor-Protégé (MP) Program was enacted in 1990 (Public Law 101-510) under the direction of former Senator Sam Nunn and Secretary of Defense William Perry. The Office of Small Business Programs (SBP) was established to provide Small Disadvantaged businesses, including Women-owned small businesses (WOSB), with the appropriate mentor in competing for prime contract and subcontract awards.

Successful Mentor-Protégé agreements provide a winning relationship for the Protégé, the mentor, and the DoD. Current participants include companies specializing in environmental remediation, engineering services and information technology, manufacturing, telecommunications, and health care.

Integrated Consultants is an approved Protégé participant of the DoD Mentor-Protégé program.
